Chapter 7 is a chapter that really spoke to my heart not only because of it's significance, but because I've debated into going into this area of ministry. It started talking about the call to missions, and the wrong view some people have with the call to missions. Missions is going and being a missionary to a certain type of people in the world. Iorg starts talking about how people have this wrong view on missionaries. They think that if they're called to be missionaries, then they're going to have to move to a distant country to reach a certain type of people in the name of Jesus. Yeah, that's a big part of some people who became missionaries, but that's not what we should be focused on. We should be focused on the call itself, and what kind of people Jesus is calling us to reach to. For example, in the book it talks about a couple who said they were called to reach Vietnamese people, but they ended up accepting to go to Germany. When the author asked, they said that there is about 100,000 Vietnamese people who lived in the city where they were going to. There was also another couple who were called to Mandarin-speaking Chinese people, but they moved to another city and immediately went to a church for Mandarin-speaking Chinese people. He starts saying that's it's not about the geographic location that we're either called to be, or afraid to be called to, because it's about the people that the call really centers around.
